Questions & Answers

Everything you need to know about verified bids, public ranking, and product discovery on Topples.

Q1.What happens when I place a bid on Topples?

A settled payment is added to one product’s verified bid total. That total determines its position on the public board. The product also receives a public listing, category discovery, and outbound click measurement.

Q2.Is Topples gambling or a prize competition?

No. A bid only pays for placement on a product-discovery board. It does not create a prize pool, wager, cash payout, or ownership right. A higher verified total can move a listing ahead of another listing.

Q3.How is a product ranked?

The board orders listings by their net verified bid total. If totals tie, the listing that reached that total first remains ahead. Organic trending is displayed separately and is never bought.

Q4.Can someone else pass my listing on the board?

Yes. Board positions are dynamic. If another listing reaches a higher verified bid total, it moves ahead. A bid does not buy a permanent position.

Q5.How does Trending differ from the bid board?

The bid board ranks listings by net verified bid total. Trending is independent of payments and uses organic engagement signals, including unique outbound clicks, page views, and listing freshness.

Q6.Do I own a product listing after bidding?

No. A bid does not confer ownership, endorsement, or control of a listing. Product details reflect verified submitted metadata and moderation decisions.

Q7.What if my payment succeeds but the board has not updated?

Keep the receipt window open. Dodo Payments verifies the settlement server-side and the webhook updates the board even if the browser closes. Do not make a duplicate payment while the receipt is checking its status.

Q8.Can I edit my product information after it is listed?

Yes! If you need to update a product's name, tagline, description, logo URL, or website link, reach out to our team via the Contact Support page and our administrators will update your listing promptly.

Q9.What happens if a payment is refunded or charged back?

The refunded amount is removed from the listing’s verified bid total, and its board position is recalculated. Approved refunds return through the payment provider to the original payment method.

Q10.Are there restrictions on what products can be promoted?

Yes. Listings must represent genuine, accessible digital applications, websites, SaaS tools, open-source repositories, or creator projects. We strictly prohibit malware, phishing, scams, adult content, hate speech, defamatory material, or unlawful schemes. Non-compliant listings are removed immediately by administrators.
